Project summary: Dana Outrigger Canoe Club “Rythm Of The Water”

This film was created for the Dana Outrigger Canoe Club to help welcome new people into the community. Instead of focusing on competition or performance, the story centers on what it feels like to be on the water and part of something shared.

Through the voice of a longtime member, the film explores the rhythm of paddling, the calm of the ocean, and the connection that happens when a group moves as one. It reveals the club not just as a place to train, but as a place of belonging, where people come together with a shared respect for the water and each other.

The goal was to create something honest and inviting, a film that allows people to feel the experience before they ever step into a canoe, and to see themselves as part of it.
